It’s been a while since I last posted any updates, but it’s been so hectic lately that I’m finding it very difficult to have time to to things I normally would. Even going to the gym is becoming very hard to schedule. Hopefully with tax time over (I finally got things in order to submit) and some of that stress is now gone.. I may just have time to get things back to it’s old self. Today will not end without seeing me at the gym (or at least a hike, since the weather is really nice)… that’s a promise to myself, no matter how busy I get.
Does the size of the plate matter when dieting?
Is Motivation Our Biggest Nemesis?
Happy to say I didn’t fall off the exercise wagon, but during yesterday’s workout I struggled to complete my entire routine. As mentioned in a previous post, I usually do my weight training first, followed by some sort of cardio (swimming, bike and/or treadmill). The day before I had an excellent time on the treadmill and though I still can’t run for long, I did increase the elevation and speed of my walks. I actually sweat now
Oh yea, and I can walk about 10 minutes longer at the increased elevation/speed.
Should I Even Bother With An Abs Workout At This Point?
As you know, going to the gym is on my regular schedule now (fingers crossed..that I actually stick with it) and though I’m struggling, I’m having fun and I”M NOT BORED. It’s been about a week now that I can’t fully function due to extremely sore muscle (or where muscles used to be), but I’m really trying my absolute best to give 100% when I enter the doors of the gym. Seems I completely missed the we’ll be closed after 8 pm sign, so when I showed up tonight (in the mood to workout) I had to turn around and come back home. Taking a walk (or run) was a thought that crossed my mind for a split second.. but who am I kidding, I can’t run for more than 3 minutes without having to gasp for air. So here I am, typing away on this computer. Don’t worry, I’ll hit the gym very early in the am.
What part does music play in your workout routine?
I can’t tell you how proud of myself I am for the continued effort (and lack of pathetic excuses) I’ve been putting forward when it comes to actually going t the gym. As I’ve mentioned before,, it’s been about a year since I’ve last been to the gym and in total we’ve had this membership for about 3 yrs and even if I use a scientific calculator… we’ve only used it for about 30 days in maximum over that time. Yet every month we fork over $50 in fees, since then.
Are my eyes playing tricks on me.
I ran into a good friend earlier today at the GYM! Yes I finally made it to the gym after over a year (imagine havingĀ a business where you charge people a monthly fee and they NEVER use your service). I had just completed my weights routine and was heading back to the other side of the gym to get some cardio done, when I heard someone (must have been loud, since I was wearing my ipod) say… “are my eyes playing tricks on me?” Like the gym, my friend was also very surprised to see me and went on for a few minutes with his theatrical ways . After a brief chat I decided that it was time to hit the treadmill and get the rest of my workout completed.
