Does the size of the plate matter when dieting?

dieting plate sizes 300x234 Does the size of the plate matter when dieting? It’s been a while since I last posted any updates, but it’s been so hectic lately that I’m finding it very difficult to have time to to things I normally would. Even going to the gym is becoming very hard to schedule. Hopefully with tax time over (I finally got things in order to submit) and some of that stress is now gone.. I may just have time to get things back to it’s old self. Today will not end without seeing me at the gym (or at least a hike, since the weather is really nice)… that’s a promise to myself, no matter how busy I get.

I’m still having a terrible time with my eating habits and only recently I realized that I may have been doomed into this life of being overweight, even from a child. I grew up knowing that I had to finish whatever was on my plate or I would get into trouble. Old school or learning not to waste? I looked closer at the whole situation and I realize that to this day I still practice that. And the fact that our dinner plates are massive works equally against me. With a big plate there’s room for a ton of food (which I usually take), then with my upbringing that I have to finish what’s on my plate.. I find myself eating a ton of food. So I’ve now decided to use the smaller plates in the cupboards and see if that will help in correcting my eating habits.

What are your thoughts on this and other poor eating habits we practice? Please leave me your comments below.
