As you know, going to the gym is on my regular schedule now (fingers crossed..that I actually stick with it) and though I’m struggling, I’m having fun and I”M NOT BORED. It’s been about a week now that I can’t fully function due to extremely sore muscle (or where muscles used to be), but I’m really trying my absolute best to give 100% when I enter the doors of the gym. Seems I completely missed the we’ll be closed after 8 pm sign, so when I showed up tonight (in the mood to workout) I had to turn around and come back home. Taking a walk (or run) was a thought that crossed my mind for a split second.. but who am I kidding, I can’t run for more than 3 minutes without having to gasp for air. So here I am, typing away on this computer. Don’t worry, I’ll hit the gym very early in the am.
Back to the topic of this post…
I was told a while back that it made no sense for me to include an abs routine within my workout, since working on abs does not mean my belly will disappear. See the body is such that you can’t necessarily target certain areas of fat to burn off. Basically when you burn fat, it burns from all areas of your body.. or so I was told. I see a lot of heavy people at the gym, killing themselves (I’m sure they do damage to their backs) on the different abs machines, which puts you in some really weird positions and I sometimes wonder if I should still work on my midsection a bit. I know I need to concentrate on cardio, but I also know that they key to a strong back is having a strong mid section (core).
Should I? Or is my time better spent on the treadmill or in the pool? I’d love for you to comment… use the area provided below.

Remember, when it comes to losing abdominal fat, you have to adopt a holistic, whole-body approach – there are absolutely no shortcuts. A surgical shortcut like liposuction also becomes meaningless if you are not going to control to your diet, because removing fat cells from the abdomen by liposuction will lead to excess fat storage elsewhere – perhaps under the chin or on knees or shoulders – where it may look even worse than at the abdomen.
abdominal fat loss occurs the same way in seniors as it does in everybody else, BUT it is a tiny more tricky. When you start to get wiser mentally, sometimes physically things break down more often. This is why a tiny more automobile is necessary, as well as a few exercises are definitely not advised without training for a couple of weeks to get used to the stress it puts on your body.
People who are not used to exercising and require all the motivation and drive that they can get will probably find the Ab Circle Pro more useful. First of all, it is great to have a machine at home which constantly reminds you to workout if you are not used to. Second, even if you do outgrow this machine in time, you require to start out somewhere.
Going through your post gives me a chance to remember why I enjoy reading things with so much thought. It is nice to know that there are still great writers out there that can put wit into knowledgable information. Thank you for your contributions and eagerness to share your thoughts with us.
The first thing you must understand is that there is no physical exercises that can reduce fat from a specific parts of the body. When you burn fat for energy, as during an aerobic activity, fat loss will occur systemically, i.e., from all over the body. But since fat distribution naturally varies from person to person, depending on inherited genetic factors, some people will tend to lose abdominal fat faster while others may lose fat at say hips or thighs faster. So do not compare your abdominal fat loss graph with others.
